Darul Uloom (Alimiyyah Course)

إِنَّ الْعُلَمَاءَ وَرَثَةُ الأَنْبِيَاءِ

The ‘Alimiyah course is provided for both male and female students during the day, the course is aimed to give students an in-depth understanding of Islamic theology and Islamic Law (Shari’ah) by studying the sciences which help understand the Qur’an and Hadith. It includes subjects such as Arabic Grammar, Tafsir, Hadith, Fiqh, Seerah as well as the Principles of Fiqh, Hadith and Tafsir.

The course is set in an Islamic environment where the students are nurtured to adopt the true spirit of Islamic principles which are not just restricted to the appearance but also include the notions of piety, responsibility, generosity and selfless serving of the community.

This enriched curriculum has already proven to be a success by producing graduates who have reached out serving the communities locally, nationally and beyond.

Upon the successful completion of the course, students receive the noble (Ijazah) – authorisation to teach and the ‘Shahadah Alimiyah’, becoming a link in the blessed Sanad (chain of transmission) of Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم.

The honourable seekers of knowledge having studied the sacred texts are blessed with the merits of becoming heirs of Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم. A humbling and unique experience.

Entry requirements:

• Post 16
• Ability to read Qur’an with fluency and accuracy
• Basic level of English reading and writing
• Basic level of Arabic reading and writing
