Islam Embracing

Embracing Islam is a procedure that is, within itself, very simple. It involves the individual's firm conviction in the Islamic beliefs and thereafter reciting the Declaration of Faith (Shahadah).

However, at times, some individuals require more guidance and support prior to embracing Islam.

The Masjid offers both guidance and embracing services. This service is usually carried out by an Imam who speaks with individuals, ascertaining their needs and assisting them wherever possible.

Anyone wishing to accept Islam or just wishing to learn more may visit the Mosque and enquire in regards to this service.

Funeral & Burial

Janazah (funeral) services can be arranged through the Masjid. Jame' Masjid has a dedicated building for the washing and storage of the deceased and can help in the following areas:

  • Releasing the body from the mortuary/hospital.
  • Arrangements of burial at the graveyard
  • Perform the Ghusl (with provision of the necessary materials)
  • Provision of Kafn (shroud for the deceased)
  • Provision of coffin.
  • Transportation of the body to the graveyard
  • Janazah Salaah and Burial service

Introduction

Jame' Masjid is based in the heart of the Muslim community within Leicester. The Masjid was established under the patronage of Hadhrat Shaykh Maulana Adam Saheb in 1977 (1397AH).

The Masjid offers a wide range of services to the local and wider community...

The educational department of the Masjid, known as Jame'ah Uloomul Qur'an, provides Islamic education for male and female. The evening classes consisted of only a handful of students in its primary years and has now, with the support of the community, expanded to cater for a range of educational needs for the local and wider Muslim community of Leicester.

Jame'ah Uloomul Qur'an has a wide range of courses and programmes for children and adults. The sections of the Jame'ah include Maktab & Hifdh, day-time Darul Uloom, part time 'Alim class and adult classes...
